Hey there! Welcome to Ochre Dough.

The play dough & craft brand run by … not a mum … an Aunty!

The little people in my life call me Aunty Maki. Out of all the things I do,
being an Aunty is my absolute favourite thing.

I may not have kids of my own, but I've got plenty of little ones in my life who keep me on my
toes – but most importantly, bring me a lot of joy & love.

I’m a proud Muthi Muthi/Gunditjmara woman and family and community
mean a lot to me. Seeing our younger generations grow up with a connection to
culture & Country is so important – and to be able to facilitate a little
piece of that with our products is pretty special.

It all started when I was babysitting my nephew and we were playing with his
play dough – well, Play-Doh if you know what I mean – Watching his
imagination run wild and seeing his creativity in his creations brought me so much joy.

And I couldn't believe how engaged I was myself!

So, I decided to make my own homemade, all natural, non-toxic play dough and
I just fell in love with the process.

One thing led to another, one idea to the next, and all of a sudden Ochre Dough wasn’t just a single product offering, but a whole new brand.

A whole new experience for our little babes.

And to know the developmental benefits squeezing, squishing,
moulding and shaping playdough has for our little ones makes it a
special task that this Aunty loves.

So let me tell you, play dough isn't just for our boorais (babes)! It's for everyone, young and old. It's a great way to get creative, explore your imagination, be more mindful and just have fun!

Ochre Dough is about Experiencing the JOY in playtime.

It’s about connecting to Culture & Country through play.

Thank you for landing here and checking us out 🤎

I hope our dough & crafts bring a little bit of joy, relaxation, and
playfulness to you and your little ones day.
